I am alive today because Jesus Christ came to heal the brokenhearted.
At 16-years old, I experienced clinical depression. I lived in a behavioral-health hospital for nearly 3-months, and it was that difficult tunnel that led me to become a family therapist. I counsel people who are hurting and need a place to sort out what is not working in their lives. Sometimes people suffer from attachment injuries and need to understand how they got stuck before new choices make sense. The important thing is being heard and supported in the process. I will, by God's grace, do all I can to help you recover faith and joy to engage in life again.
I work with individuals, couples, and families to address a wide range of issues, including mood, conflict, parenting, and addictions such as pornography. I am informed by my clinical training, a Master of Divinity degree, a second master’s degree in counseling, a personal faith in Christ, plus a lot of life and business experience.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for many years, I have established and conducted full-time clinical practices in California and Arizona. I now live in Tucson with my wife and two daughters.
Apart from therapy, I am available for executive coaching for leaders and some organizational consulting. In the coaching role, I also offer a unique seven-week coaching & educational package for parents of elementary and adolescent-aged kids, called, "A Pinpoint Strategy for Parents."
Psychology offers valuable information about developmental and healing processes and how to promote normal human growth and relationships. However, I fully rely on Jesus, the Designer of it all, for discernment and wisdom to help and further His work in my client's life.
